This project is more than a playground—it’s an investment in children and community wellness. As children spend less time in nature and more time on screens, creating opportunities for outdoor play is a clear way to get kids outside, moving, exploring, and playing again.

In December 2025, the City of Tonawanda Common Council approved a section of Niawanda Park for the first nature playground of this size and caliber in Western New York.
